Calls For Papers

Scope

CP is the premier international event for presenting research in all aspects of computing with constraints, including but not restricted to: theory, algorithms, environments, languages, models, systems, and applications. It welcomes submissions that advance the state of the art for the underlying technologies as well as papers that explore the role of constraint programming within other disciplines such as, for instance: operations research, machine learning, computational sustainability, and (cyber)security. Alongside submissions on constraint solving, NP-hard problem solving and constrained optimization in general, we also encourage and welcome submissions that reach beyond classic constraint programming concepts such as, for example, any underlying computational technique operating on a declarative constraint model.

Tracks

Besides the main technical track, CP 2022 hosts 4 specialized tracks:

• CP and Operations Research
• Trustworthy Decision Making

Submission Instructions

• Full papers, that can use up to 15 pages (references excluded);
• Short papers, that can use a maximum of 8 pages (references excluded). Short papers cover early results or results that can be adequately reported in just 8 pages. They must nonetheless meet all the expected quality criteria of a full paper.

To facilitate reviewing management, authors who intend to submit a paper to CP should submit a very short description of the contents and contribution of the final submission, with a maximum of 150 words, by February 11th, 2022. The paper submission must be done before February 18th, 2022.
All papers will go through a double blind reviewing process, meaning that authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other. For this reason, submitted papers should not contain author names, affiliations, or links to identifying web sites. References to own papers should be cited in such a way as not to reveal the authorship of the paper.
A given paper must be submitted to exactly one track. When it looks necessary, the Program Chair may move a submission to another, more suitable track.
Submitted papers must not appear in, be accepted for, or be under review for another peer-reviewed conference (with archived conference proceedings) or journal. Submissions that have appeared at workshops or other meetings of lower status than a conference or only in highly shortened form (e.g., abstracts) can be submitted as papers.

Proceedings

Accepted papers (in all tracks) will appear in conference proceedings published by LIPIcs. The proceedings will be available at the time of the conference.

Pandemic considerations

We do hope that the conference will be held in person, but this remains difficult to predict at this stage. The decision for having a physical or a virtual meeting will be communicated by FLoC organizers on May 1st, 2022. In case of a physical meeting, authors of accepted papers are expected to present in person. In case of a virtual meeting, authors are expected to produce a recording of their talk ahead of time which will be shared via the ACP YouTube channel. Precise directions will be shared with authors after acceptance notifications.

Mandatory Registration of Authors

The FLOC policy requires that each paper published at a conference (or workshop) will have at least one author register for the conference (or workshop, resp.). We ask conference/workshop chairs to enforce this policy and check that each paper has at least one author registered. Papers without a registered author will be removed from the proceedings (automatically via EasyChair).

Note that early registration ends Monday, June 20th (anywhere on earth).
